The Takata airbag inflator seems like a never-ending nightmare for the carmakers that fell victim to Takata’s negligence. Honda has been hit the hardest and Honda Malaysia has just announced another recall for 23,476 units that have already had their inflators replaced but may need it swapped out once again. Models that fall under this recall are the Accord, City, Civic, CR-V, Insight, Jazz and Stream. Honda Malaysia stresses that this is a preventive measure as it involves the replacement of inflators installed in vehicles previously subject to recall. You can refer to the two tables to see if your car falls under the recall. The first is for the driver’s airbag inflator while the second is for the front passenger’s airbag inflator. As always, if you see your Honda is in the table you should make an appointment and have it replaced as soon as possible.
